Le AnticheTerme Rita F. Monti is supplied by one of the most ancient thermal springs on the island of Ischia, La Rita.

Mud used in the thermal spa is rich in active elements that are aged directly in the natural thermal spring for at least six months. The thermal water aging process leaves the mud particularly effective in the treatment of arthro-rheumatic diseases and in the recovery of articular functionality. Thermal water is also shown to be effective in the treatment of respiratory infections, and is used in skin and facial treatments.

The thermal spring, La Rita, known since ancient times, is the source of many historical references drawn from prestigious texts written by famous writers, doctors and scholars from the past, such as philosopher and physician Julius Iasolino and doctors from the year 800, such as VenanzioMarone and Jacques Etienne Chaevalley De Rivas.

The thermal water from the La Rita spring, known also as, “Fontedella Rete,” or “fonsRetis” at the 1912 International Exhibition in Paris, was declared the best known thermal water and awarded a gold medal.
